Why did everyone like that story so much when it wasn't true? Why was everyone so eager to believe it? Was it because, in real life, ever after's generally stink?

About This Quote

A lot of people will often say that the reason they like a story is because it isn't real, but what if I told you that there are no real stories? You would think that I was completely insane or something. But, the truth is that there are no true stories at all. We make them up, and we believe them because it's easier to believe in pretend than pretend. We don't want to be the ones alone in our heads with no one to believe in us.

And, people want to be happy. They want to be loved, to be accepted, to have their ideas heard. They are looking for an ideal, something they can believe in without having to face the ugly truth of reality.

The end of a story is where the real story begins.
